Chương Trình Mắt Việt Nam là một trong những hoạt động của Quỹ Từ Thiện Phật Giáo Úc Việt. Nhiều người gọi chương trình là Vietnam Vision Project. Đây là một nỗ lực chung của toàn thể mọi người tại Úc không phân biệt tôn giáo, chủng tộc mà chỉ có một tâm nguyện duy nhất là mang lại ánh sáng cho đồng bào nghèo tại Việt Nam. Trong những năm qua phái đoàn thiện nguyện đã đi nhiều nơi như Vĩnh Long, Bến Tre, Phan Thiết, Phan Rang, Long Xuyên, Sa Đéc, Trà Vinh, Phú Yên, Bình Phước, Quãng Trị... Hơn 2000 đồng bào nghèo đã được khám bịnh và mỗ mắt miễn phí do các nhân viên tình nguyện Úc Việt thực hiện.

CHÂN THÀNH CÁM ƠN

DẠ TIỆC TỪ THIỆN ĐÓA HỒNG TRI ÂN gây quỹ yểm trợ cho bệnh viện Bankstown thành công rực rỡ nhờ vào sự yểm trợ vô cùng quý báu của quý đồng hương cùng các cơ quan truyền thông Việt ngữ: Nhật báo Chiêu Dương, Tuần Báo Văn Nghệ, Tuần Báo Dân Việt, Tuần Báo SaiGon Times, Bán Tuần Báo Việt Luận, Lưỡng Nguyệt San Y Học & Đời Sống, SBS Radio, 2VNR, Vietnam Radio Australia, Vietnam Sydney Radio và BBC London. Ban Tổ Chức kính mong quý vị nhận nơi đây lòng chân thành cám ơn của chúng tôi.

Tổng số tiền gây quỹ sau khi khấu trừ các chi phí là $56,330. Số tiền này đã được trao tận tay Ban Giám Đốc bệnh viện Bankstown. Ông Anthony Schembri, Giám Đốc bệnh viện, cho biết sẽ mang tất cả số tiền này đễ mua thiết bị dùng cho những nơi có đông người Việt Nam sử dụng, nhưng trước khi quyết định Ban Giám Đốc bệnh viện sẽ thảo luận với Ban Tổ Chức Đóa Hồng Tri Ân, và sau khi thiết bị được mua về chúng tôi sẽ mời các cơ quan truyền thông đến để chụp hình để quảng bá đến quý đồng hương.

Danh sách quý đồng hương hiến tặng khá dài sẽ được đăng trong Lưỡng Nguyệt San Y Học & Đời Sống và tùy theo sự quyết định của các cơ quan truyền thông khác.

National Prescribing Service Ltd Logo

The National Prescribing Service Ltd. promotes the safe and effective use of medicines by health professionals and the Australian community.

We have a program with the Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia (FECCA) to promote the safe use of medicines to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. We work with ethno-specific community organisations across Australia as well as ethnic and multicultural radio and newspapers to share messages with CALD seniors.

We would like to invite bi-lingual health professionals to join our bi-lingual health professional network.

This network will be provided with updates on our program and translated resources freely available for ordering. Network members may be invited to take part in program activities to promote the safe use of medicines:

-presenting in-language education sessions to CALD seniors

-review new translated materials to ensure clinical accuracy

-be involved the development of appropriate messages to reach CALD communities

-be interviewed or report on CALD radio

-be involved in an advisory group to look at what tools, resources can assist English speaking pharmacists in communicating with their CALD clients.

We would provide all the materials and background to support these roles. As well as receiving recognition from local communities, there will be financial remuneration for some of these activities. Anyone interested in taking part should contact Jackie Stephenson on multilingualqum@nps.org.au

INVITATION FOR MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL

Dear members of The Vietnamese-Australian Medical Association,

Over the past year, our Vietnamese-Australian Medical Association has grown tremendously as a professional organisation. Its past efforts and achievements in serving the community have been numerous.

The following are just a few activities that our V-AMA has organised:

Talks at Bankstown City Council's Townhall, Riverwood Senior Community Centre, Canterbury Senior Community Centre;

Talks on SBS radio several times to help people understand more about preventive medicine;
"Golden Heart Charity" Function -- Bushfire Appeal fund raising to help Victorian Bushfire victims;
"Bouquet of Appreciation" Function -- Raising fund to support Liverpool Hospital;
Raising fund Function to help "House of Hope" in Vietnam;
CPD/CME Functions for V-AMA's members.

Activities of Vietnamese-Australian Medical Association have been appreciated by the Mayors of several City Councils such as Bankstown City Council, Cabramatta City Council, as well as appreciated and mentioned at The Australian Parliament by Mr Jason Clare, Federal MP.

Furthermore, activities of our Association have been strongly supported and co-operated by several organisations such as Nguyen Dinh Chieu & Le Ngoc Han Mytho Alumni Inc., TrungVuong Alumnae Association (NSW-Australia), Gia Long Alumnae Association, The Federation of Vietnamese Women's Associations in Australia, IndoChinese Senior Citizen Association of NSW, Australasian Dragon Business Association, Second Bankstown Scout Group, Vietnamese Artists In Australia Incorporated, "We Can-vas" Young Vietnamese Association.

While more V-AMA's activities are in the planning stages; I plead with you to help me to help others. Please do not forget our association's motto is: "Together we serve better."

With the end of this financial year approaching, please remember to renew now your V-AMA's membership for the year 2009-2010 to get your membership fee fully tax deductible.

Đệ Nhất Chu Niên Ngày Thành Lập Hội Y sĩ Việt Nam tại Úc châu (HYS)

Tập thể Y sĩ Việt Nam tại Úc châu đã hoạt động tưng bừng, nhộn nhịp chưa từng thấy từ trước đến nay để phục vụ cho sức khỏe của đồng hương, để làm các công việc từ thiện đồng thời cũng để tạo tình đoàn kết chặt chẽ trong tinh thần tương thân tương ái giữa các đồng nghiệp trên toàn nước Úc.
Kể từ ngày thành lập đến nay thắm thoát đã tròn một năm với rất nhiều thành tích vượt bực đáng ghi nhớ, đáng để cho chúng ta tổ chức một dạ tiệc kỷ niệm Đệ Nhất Chu Niên Ngày Thành Lập Hội.
Buổi dạ tiệc kỷ niệm Đệ Nhất Chu Niên Ngày Thành Lập Hội Y sĩ Việt Nam tại Úc châu (HYS) được tổ chức trọng thể vào tối Thứ Sáu 14/12/08 tại nhà hàng Hòa Bình (tức Monte Carlo Reception), tại Sydney, một nhà hàng thật lộng lẫy, sang trọng với hơn 250 hội viên và quan khách tham dự.
